Exactly, for all we know the Flames already offered Brodie a similar deal or as much as they were willing to go already and he turned it down...If he wanted to stay that badly he could have worked something out over the past few months. That tweet just seems like both sides being respectful. It even seemed like Brodie was trying to use the Flames a bit...not too many teams were handing out 5M contracts with term to Dmen
