I still think that for Gaudreau to be effective, he has to play at pace. He was lethal as the guy carrying the puck in on the rush, and finding trailers - Wideman fed off of that nicely, for example. The 5-man unit kind of takes away some of Gaudrea's options, and that line just isn't a strong chip-and-chase line, especially trying to generate offence off the cycle.
If Ward can just figure out a way to make that line to play a bit more off the rush, I bet you see a nice rebound by all three of them.
