Why did they let Tanev go then? He said on a few occasions how much he loves playing in Vancouver and how much he wants to stay there. Benning reportedly told his agent that re-signing Markstrom was priority #1 due to cap space limitations. They haven't re-signed Markstrom, they have allowed Tanev to leave and now they are looking for top-4 D? Something doesn't add up. Does anyone else see a problem here?
