There's less work to get Holtby back to where he was. Probably just some tweeks and adjustments.

Tweeks and adjustments?
Of exactly what? Changing how he challenges shooters? How close he plays to his post? The team’s defensive approach?
Last time I checked Ian Clarke doesn’t determine defensive systems or allocate the appropriate individuals to execute said system.
Holtby has played a certain way for his entire professional career in one organization.
Ian Clarke worked with Markstrom for years to ultimately cover the warts of the Canucks defence. Markstrom was highly touted going into Florida, and he deserves some credit for the reclamation of Markstrom’s game. As does Markstrom.
But... there is a lot more going on than a goalie whisperer plugging and playing new personal into their system with a few tweeks.
Will it work? Perhaps.
But a better question is, did Benning et al. even talk to Ian Clarke about what goaltenders are best suited for their current defensive structure and personnel?
They probably did & his answer was probably Markstrom.
