Hes not great defensively but hes still a net positive on the ice, and hes probably a top 10 up qb
Seravelli and dreger both parroting the 'he took less line' though is so transparent that it came from the oilers, Lowe loves to do stuff like that, same with saying they had every draft pick much higher on their board... when you say it all the time it loses its meaning

A team that doesn't have one real positionally sound blueliner that can take care of its own end, really shouldn't be signing Barrie. They probably should have taken a run at a guy like Hamonic, that would have made some logical sense.
Frankly right now the Oilers have the Red Sea of blueline and Barrie is the Moses.
