Brodie certainly under appreciated here the last few years after a bad season, fans looking for a scape goat and and the same fans then playing the telephone game about how bad he was. His puck moving and skating was effortless throughout his time here, and they style allows the Flames to press high on the forecheck and activate the defenses which won them the Western Conference two seasons ago. It also allowed him to be a a more solid defensive defenseman.
Flames will miss him if someone does not replace that accurate puck moving.
If he had to go anywhere, good to be close to his family with his condition and his health scare last year.
I still remember the hub bub whether he was going to keep his training camp number (66) in the regular season, triggering all sorts of "traditionalists" for a few days.
