I guess at the end of the day I'm a little confused about why the Flames always seem to either go for one-year cheap UFA deals or huuuuuuuge money UFA contracts at 4 years minimum

I wish we saw more two- or three-year contracts handed out by this management group. Maybe that's an unrealistic ask given Calgary's stature as a market. That fourth year just always seems to be a killer, though. Hope it's not the case here.

I like the Markstrom contract (a lot!) but this one just confuses me.
