If memory serves, the Flames allow fewer screened, slot-line and odd-man chances than average. They surrender more perimeter and slot chances than most, and Markstrom is very strong at stopping perimeter shots (ie. he doesn't give up many bad goals) and slot shots. Sounds like he's a good fit.

I just listened to it, and I believe Woodly said that Markström did not give up ANY bad goals last season.
