For the first time in a long time I don't really have a read on the Flames heading into the offseason. I know they want at least 1 right side D man and want to stabilize goaltending.

We have heard they will go after Hall and will be in on that too.

I have no clue how anything is gonna shake out when it comes to executing their vision with this team moving forward.

Personally I see it one of two ways, they're going to find a RHS RW or two, probably move on from a difficult RFA situation with 88. Keep Gaudreau and work on the bottom 6 fws. Along with the common knowledge about goalies and rhd.

Or the other way, they sign Hall, trade Johnny for a big piece to fill a hole somewhere else.

What I want, acquire a Toffoli or say Nolan Patrick via trade. Blah blah head risks blah blah yeah I know, but I think you can still trade for him without Gaudreau as the centerpiece of a trade.

I'll take a varied mixture of RHD players ranging from Schultz to Vatanen to Shatternkirk to Barrie or even a Ristolainen in trade.

I want Holtby more than I want Markstrom.

Id like to make room on D for the kids to rule the roost. Hanifin, Valimaki, Kylington, Andersson are all primed for full time. Give them one piece of help and a little depth. Don't forget Mackey is in their plans too.

Hanifin could be on the move too. So who knows wtf is going on.

Actually, after saying all that, all I want now is for Tree to be proactive and not reactive in roster tweaking. Be aggressive.

I love that they went all out at the draft. That made me really happy. Got all sorts of goodies there.

Let's just have a fun day tomorrow.
