Trump is incapable of this. He has to know more than the doctors, he has to have the bigger rallies, he has to make the biggest noise. His approval would be in the 60s right now, even if he did nothing.

I think I was in high school when I realized that if I ever was a political leader I wouldn't want to be remembered as one of the best/greatest of all time.
The true greats overcome a level of strife, often that could cripple a nation or starts a new one.
Washington led the rebellion to victory and established the USA.
Jefferson set the foundation for it to become the most powerful nation on Earth.
Lincoln survived a Civil War and freed the slaves.
FDR saw the US through WWII, established the US as a superpower, and introduced a new deal that paved the way for the greatest economic powerhouse in history.
They became legends because they faced insane hardship. Without the hardship would FDR have been on par with Clinton? Lincoln on par with Bush 41?
I mean no disrespect to Clinton or Bush.
Trump had the opportunity to put 3 reasonable, but conservative judges on the Supreme Court, ride the coattails of a strong economy, and been a world leader taking charge and setting THE example on the Caronoavirus.
He dropped the ball with Kavanaugh, is running massive deficits with tax cuts for his friends and donors, and failed on COVID in historic fashion.
Trump was dealt a hand that would have left him remembered fondly by history. Instead, he will be remembered as an epic failure.
The thing most people who yearn for love in the political realm don't understand is those that are beloved by people at large and revered by history are the ones who simply do what they believe is in the best interest at large despite how they personally may look. Which is counterintuitive for those like Trump.
