Jeez, it comes with the territory. These are professional hockey players, not babies. Every single NHL player has had to move to play hockey at least a couple times in their careers.

I’m not disagreeing with you about the ‘comes with the territory’ part. I do think that Janko is probably a guy who is very loyal and committed to his organization - be it high school, college or pro. It’s admirable imo.
I think this is his first experience with the ruthlessness of business and he felt betrayed. I believe it was coaching narratives and not the rest of the org. I think Peters and then Ward (influenced by Peters’ assessment) was the difference. I certainly could be wrong.
Peters probably favoured Ryan in those roles (3, 4 C) more. He liked his guy (I like Ryan too - good player).
I do agree he needed a better professional response but again I think he felt he was loyal and that can hurt a young player with his first professional job.
Also who knows what his team (agents, family, coaches) are also saying and possibly influencing his thinking.
