Is it a history though or just this last season that it was injuries? Prior to that he was always the backup to a top end veteran.

16-17: He played 23 games, Holtby played 63 games Washington used only 2 goalies. No sign of injury.
17-18: He played 35 games, Holtby played 54 games. Washington used only 2 goalies. No sign of injury.
18-19: He played 37 games, Varlamov played 49 games, Francouz played 2 games. No real sign of injury.

Then this last season he had groin / lower body injuries all season. First in December, then again in the Stadium Series Game, and once again in the playoffs after a long break. But he still played 36 games.

Honestly if he were to become available he would become the top goalie on my wish list. He's the youngest of the group at 28, has been great when he's played, and has the highest upside of any of the rumored goalies available.

A Grubauer-Rittich tandem could be great IMO.
