You think Bennett can't think the game? Is that why he's been able to adapt to the wing, to centre, back to the wing, back to centre and wherever the team needs him to play? Or that he's adapted the game to playing a bottom-six role while driving play for the team in a way that screams "holy crap, why do we pay and play guys like Brouwer, Neal, Jankowski, Chiasson and a 700 year old Jagr"?
His poor discipline is because he "can't think the game", and not because he was just an immature/young player who is playing at the highest level of his sport while being incredibly frustrated due to his circumstances?
Bennett is shoot first? You say this like it's a bad thing. Pucks to the net and driving the net is a pretty good way to find success. Bennett can't use his line mates? What line mates are you referring to? James Neal? Troy Brouwer? Alex Chiasson? Mark Jankowski? A 700 year old Jaromir Jagr? Ha! "Use his line mates"...when your line mates are actually incompetent leeches/on their way out of the league and they're so bad that Johnny Gaudreau can't even make them effective - how is Sam Bennett supposed to pull that off? Or are you referring to Milan Lucic and Dillon Dube who combined with Bennett provided us our best line during the playoffs?

I don't care what you think about my take and ignoring the pointless IQ argument, I'm not taking that bait.
Bennett giveaways per 60 is terrible and is significantly worse over the past 3 years than his first 2. He takes far too many penalties and that is not improving, using him being immature as an excuse after 5 years in the league is a stupid argument, especially when he took fewer penalties earlier in his career.
I don't know why you are bringing up his linemates, I didn't even mention his terrible production.
And a good handful of games is great, but he's done that before and fell flat on his face after.
Bennett is not a good center, hell he's not even that good of a winger. People need to stop sucking his dick for being a #4 pick and realize he is what he is. A bottom 6 shoot first bang and crash energy player that will have some hot streaks and seems to find another gear in the playoffs. Basically, he's a more physical modern day Eric Nystrom.... no wait, Nystrom could kill penalties and play defense effectively without giving the puck up.
