Yes ALWAYS follow-up with a thank you, plus a positive reiteration of what makes you a good candidate and how you can boost their team, plus add something new and beneficial, and a statement that yes you are interested in working for them. Lastly, I think it's more than ok to state that you will contact them next week. Good luck!!
