Depends on the cat.. cats can claw and shred drapes easily, leave claw marks on railings and walls as they jump up on things, and even use things like bathroom vanities to sharpen their claws (I've seen it).
They can also mark their territories by spraying urine everywhere, stain carpets with vomit or poop (someone closes the door to the litter box).
Some cats are demon possessed and attack and bite neighbourhood children.
But a good owner mitigates most of those things.
