He's okay, but he was always better offensively than he was in his own end. Now, he's not close to being the 30-40 point guy he was in Buffalo, Carolina, and Edmonton. I think his defense has improved marginally but not enough to be better than bottom-pairing quality.
Still, for $1.5 million, it's hard to go too far wrong. Also allows them to ease blue-chipper Thomas Harley into the lineup.
