We will see if they actually have the discipline to do that. I do not think that really has the impact on guys like Pietrangelo and Hall. But as you start working down the list than the it likely starts to have a bit more of an impact. The 2 to 4 million dollar a year guys who are closer to a replacement level player who likely find that the salary and term being offered to them maybe not being what they expected.
Still for a top player who's 29 or 30 years old, taking less money on a 2 year deal, in hopes of another bigger payday in two years would be pretty risky, when there should be pretty attractive 7 year deals on the table today that carry a lot of guarantees.
