Gio played 22:42 per night, 3:23 of that on the PK. He was on the ice for 3 PP goals against and 7 ES goals against. The same amount of ES goals against as Brodie, Forbort, Andersson, and 1 more than Hanifin. His 3 PPGA was better than Brodie and Forbort and 1 more than Andersson. As I am not one of those live the Analytics, die by the Analytics folks, I might be reading his SAT Percentages (on NHL.com) wrong, but it looks to me he was better than Brodie in almost all of those stats. His physical play wasn't all that great, but he also lead the team in shots blocked by 33% which is a sign he got in the shooting lanes.

Exactly, I know its been a bit since the series ended, but reflecting back on it now I don't see the huge regression some people are talking about. His contract being called an anchor is just as out there as calling him a #7.
