I agree, no chance of retirement. It is just funny to see them twist and turn themselves.
What I am curious about though are the relative timelines. Why just now considering surgery that will keep him out an extended period? Why not as soon as the season ended? Why was he also considering never entering the bubble?
To me it seems like Souray like situation repeating. Injury occurred, team doctors/ coaches / management pressure klef to play anyways (probably "home playoffs" being uttered) and klef did it in spite of his better judgment. Now he's regretting that.
Oilers are a #### organization who do #### things to players. Let's never let them forget that.
