Reinhart is a 2nd line winger that will be overpaid due to riding Eichel's coattails. Risto is a RH 2nd pairing defenseman that would help on the PP and add physicality on our backend, and is already signed. Not sure how that is such a "hot take".
Don't get me wrong, neither would be my ideal choice, but yes, I prefer Ristolainen to Reinhart due to what they provide and their contract situations.
