And Binnington went from being a .911 goalie with the STL organization, to .926 with Providence and continued that after returning to the Blues farm club.
They also didn't lend him out to "get him more starts", he was lent out because they felt Copley and Husso were more important to be hands on with. If Copley wasn't traded at that trade deadline in the Shattenkirk deal, Binnington probably doesn't receive a qualifying offer.
As I pointed ou tin the stuff I added in my previous post, I think how much you pay your goalies means more than whether you have developed them because less money on goalies is more money to spend elsewhere. There is a reason only once in that time did a team win the cup with a goalie making more than $6m
