I think there is likely no way that Carolina makes that trade.
Johnny may resign with them, but they may have little interest in signing that type of player for a long term non-prime years contract.
He’ll be 29 when that contact kicks in.
Johnny would make them better this year, but for the long run I suspect they wouldn’t make that deal.
And Johnny is not guaranteed to get 100 points on Carolina.
