I dont mind Voracek, its not the greatest with that cap hit, its actually quite awful money wise. But he is a good player.
I wonder if Ghost can rebound with a change of scenery or he just widdles away into nothingness. Theres so much skill there I also wonder why the hell hes gone backwards.

Why not?
1. Take on salary and term for older worse players
2. Use a protection spot on a player that likely never even sniffs at his potential
3. No futures come in the deal
4. Highest paid player is a 31 year old who outside of 2 80+pt seasons is more of a 50-60pt player and only going to get worse
Patrick doesn’t turn this awful deal into a winner. If the Flames get Patrick from Philly it needs to be a throw in and not a centerpiece. Too much risk there and no idea why you feel so strongly that he is going to somehow have a healthy long term career considering he has been battling injuries since he was 16?
