Going to mix things up a little here with a three-way with the Lightning and Red Wings.

To Tampa Bay Lightning

To Detroit Red Wings

• Ondrej Palat ($5,300,000)
• Salary Retained on Johnson ($2,500,000)

To Calgary Flames

• Anthony Cirelli (RFA)
• Tyler Johnson (via Detroit, $2,500,000)
• 2nd in 2020

Basically the deal is Gaudreau for Cirelli,Johnson and a 2nd, but we give Detroit Kylington to eat half of Johnson's contract and Tampa gives them a 1st in 2021 to take Palat's contract.

This would give Tampa $15m+ to fill out their roster, plus adding another elite winger in Gaudreau who could play opposite Kucherov.

Detroit adds a young defenseman with potential and a first round pick to take Palat and eat 2.5min cap for the next few years, less in real dollars.

Flames get a young #2C and a middle RH RW without adding much if any salary after Cirelli signs.

I don’t think the Lightning trade Cirelli for Gaudreau let alone throw in all those additional assets.
