Totally agreed, I'd also say it takes a well above average GM to do it successfully. Its not every day a Forsberg for Erat trade comes up, and Poile pounced on it. I think Tre is a smart guy, and hopefully he has learned from his past whiffed trades and signings. I'm willing to give him more time as he has the team trending (long term) in the right direction.
