There's 2 rationals I see that lead to this decision.
1) Ward has the team going in the right direction and will get them over the hump.
2) The team is no where near where they need to be anyway, so no expensive coach won't fix that anyway. In this scenario, Ward is being given the job because it really doesn't matter much who they hire.
Would love to know the actual rational and what management is truly thinking of this team.
