I don’t mind this at all. Seems like that isn’t the popular opinion, but players responded really well to him in the middle of a crazy season.
He instilled a lot of self belief and motivation in this group. Players seem to respect him. I think he’s only going to get better as a coach.
We were missing out best player and were 9 seconds from having Dallas on the ropes 3-1. The margins to win in this league are small. Bring in some more pieces to the roster and let’s see where he can take this crew.
My only real gripe is his Talbot pull in game 6, but it was a panic move and hopefully he learns from it.
With the reduced salary this makes the most sense. Ward is a good coach.
