He always had foot speed deficiences.
His regular season was fine. It wasn't as good as his prior, Norris Trophy season. But he was still their best defenseman, and has nothing to 'bounce back' from.
And as Scorp pointed out, much of the drop in points can be accounted for by shooting percentage.
