As a Flyers fan, I'm pretty happy with with their young players and don't feel the need for a shakeup like the Flames. BUT: Gaudreau would be a huge get. I could see Gaudreau florishing in Philly where there are a lot of players who can win board battles and give him more space to do his thing.
For the Flyers to trade for Gaudreau, they definitely need to dump some salary. Any Gaudreau for all young players / picks doesn't make sense. Konecny being the main piece back makes sense. I would do Gaudreau for Konecny 1for1 in a heartbeat. That is really underselling Gaudreau. Gaudreau's ceiling is 100pts. Konecny has a lot of nice intangibles but not nearly the same ceiling.
Flyers throw in Frost, who is already too similiar to Gaudreau, and Flames throw in an optional 1st (2021 or 2022), and that balances things, and both teams can be happy.
