I don't see them eating any salary on the deal given how long it is, and I really do think OEL is a good defenceman, he's just overpaid. So, like Flash said, if you can swap overpaid guys at the bottom of the lineup like Lucic for a guy at the top of the lineup like OEL (OBVIOUSLY the trade would be bigger than that) then I'm for it. A good third line winger and a 4th line centre can be had for peanuts. A top pairing defenceman that logs a ton of minutes can't, so while he's overpaid, he's also worth a ton more to the Flames on the ice.
Plus he's handsome and that's important to me.

Including Lucic is the only way it makes any sense. Even then it is treacherous.
