Yes. We don't want to over pay for a defenceman hitting a wall in his career. He is not like Mark Stone or ROR.
His price his set. His value on the ice is known. He is not worth his massive contract. It's simple as that. The Flames already have too many boat anchors - try competing with an even bigger one.
