These makes more sense than what the Flames are doing IMO. Hate to say it, but even the Oilers' decision makes more sense.

Sorry, it makes more sense that someone who was previously earning $99,000 would have their salary dropped to $89,100 and someone who was previously earning $100,000 would have theirs dropped to $85,000? Or a drop from $149,000 to $126,650 but a drop from $150,000 to $112,500? Why should earning as little as $1 more theoretically result in a $14,150 greater cut in your salary?
