I hate trading away 1st and even 2nd round picks. I guess part of the fandom for me is picking these new young guys every year and watching their development. It is part of the whole experience for me as a fan. If we aren't getting a surefire, can't miss upgrade when we trade away a high pick I don't like it.
It would be fun to have a couple of picks in the top ten in the next couple of years, but of course that comes along with a couple of years of sucking which makes it less fun. 19 isn't bad this year I guess, in what I have heard is a deep draft. If it's not a guaranteed home run, keep the first.
