- Well hit ball but slices in the water
- blow a bunker shot
- crappy lie just off the fairway (tree, bush etc), if I have to chip out 20 yards, so be it


Still not counting all the time
- get to a round after work, straight to first tee cold, bad first drive lost (nope, not yet, that's still too soul destroying)
- Really poor shape courses with awful off fairway conditions, place ball to nearest semi hittable spot
- horrid, concrete sand, try once and if it doesn't work hit from beside the sand

I think those are all reasonable things. When I play with friends (even for money) a lot of those things are how we go by. The last 2 especially we sort of feel like golf should be played as it was designed.. Playable sand.. grass in the fairway.. and what not.
