It’s actually satire, which you missed the point of entirely. I know “no room for nuance” has kind of become it’s own weird cliche, but I don’t know if the difference between a autistic child having an episode and a grown adult fighting cops and possessing a knife is subtle. It seems like the differences between them are far greater than “nuance,” but that’s just me.
