I think either way you shake it the deals you see for either of Gaudreau or Monahan aren’t going to be what we all would hope or think but it’s not like Domi or Danault have no business being in the top 6 and with both of them playing between the best wingers they would have in their careers to date in that mock line-up I think you could see both take steps offensively; especially with Backlund line still playing the shut-down role.

Domi has only broke 50 points twice in his career, he did have a good year, but he isn't a 70 point player on regular basis. He also needs a new contract, he is probably looking to get paid like a 70 point player. Anything over $4.5m AAV is too much for Domi, but he probably looking for something in the $5.5m-$6.5m range.
Danault is a good player, but he is best suited as a 3rd line center. He also only has one year remaining before he becomes a UFA.
