Biden isn't particularly charismatic, so getting him out there doesn't really motivate many people. I like what he's doing. Staying low key. It's what I prefer in a president. A calm, rational person. I long for the days of not thinking at all about the president on an hour-to-hour basis.
Trump is motivating the people that will vote democrat to vote democrat just by virtue of being a scumbag. Biden cruising around acting "presidential" is a good approach, IMO. He's not going to fire anybody up so there's no point in trying to make him be that guy. It would come off looking dumb.

All I've heard out there so far is slam dunk, look at the polls Trump is done, this is commentary I've seen from indviduals, some groups and some press. I do ignore Fox and some of the other more hardcore Trump enablers though, so I could be wrong.
Anyone that thinks that the debates are going to be anything resulting sanity is fooling themselves.
Trump in the last campaign did a good job of not only motivating the right base, but also had that message of political sameness can't continue.
These debates aren't going to be debates, they're going to be Trump energizing his base and repeatedly hammering the button on Biden is senile, Harris is a communist and we need law and order in our cities.
