I believe (much to many peoples frustration), that IF Brad trades JG for anything other than a comparable player return...it will happen after free agency and once he knows the path forward on Taylor Hall. Unfortunately, by then potential suitors may already have spent their cap. Much like last year...it would be very easy for the flames to look trade constipated (metaphorically speaking) again this year.

Of course, if Treliving does want to target Hall/trade Gaudreau and is able to secure Hall's rights and sign him prior to the draft, then Gaudreau could be traded at the 2020 draft.
