Ugh...so many problems with that roster.

Boil it down though....McDavid and Draisaitl can paper over a lot of cracks.

But their defence is horri-awful. You're not going to get far having to constantly score your way out of trouble.

A stellar powerplay will help, obviously, but 5 on 5 they were a complete trainwreck. They barely have 3 NHL defencemen and their goaltending...well...

A solid goaltender and a #1 Dman and you can maybe start precariously treading water. But the holes on that roster are big enough to drive a Battleship through.
