Ward is a players coach, that got a bump for a month or so when he turned on the practice music and let them play soccer.
Then they reverted back again and were up and down into the new year.
They got a bump again from him when it came to months off and Winnipeg and his positivity, but long term, this group needs that the older school discipline guy for better or worse. No one was complaining about Peters last year, at all. He had those guys sharp and the best in the conference for 82 games. Hangover a bit this year after the regular season success last year, and then he was gone due to unforeseen circumstances.
Treliving though got the style he wanted in Peters after GG. I would be surprised if he doesn’t hire that style again.
Hopefully Ward stays around to be the good cop.
