Time to set the expectation that Cavalry aren't good enough to win this year.
They offer little in attack outside of long balls and hopeful crosses into the box. That can be hidden with solid defensive play, but now their back 3 is getting exposed with terrible play out of the back, and getting caught up the pitch after turning the ball over. Northover has never offered anything in attack and there is no reason he should be expected to play a wing back role.
In midfield, Cavalry have too many defensive minded midfielders who can't string passes together, and the injury to Camargo really deprives them of their only real #10. Just a complete lack of ability to play the ball in the middle of the park and create chances.
Brown is not a great striker but there's a reason why Haber was available weeks before the season start. Didn't see much from Cordova either, albeit in limited minutes.
4-4-2 to start next game, with Northover and Mavila staying on the back line. Glue Boskovic to the bench.
