Not sure if gio and domi are included but I do listen if I am Treliving. Something around danault and mony isn’t that far fetched.

I agree; Danault hasn’t had the luxury of Gaudreau + Lindholm or potentially Hall + Tkachuk so I think his numbers would inflate for sure but past that here’s a 27 YO Center man who gets the defensive side of the game as much as or more than Backlund. Consistently a mid 50 percent faceoff guy who takes upwards of 1600 faceoffs a year is a great weapon and he’s not shy to throw a hit or two either though he’s not a physically imposing player by any stretch. It would be an interesting Dynamic to run with basically 3 x 2nd line centres and go with a by-committee approach at that position but they would all have an opportunity to be playing with high end wingers.
Gaudreau - Danault - Lindholm
Hall - Domi - Tkachuk
Bennett - Backlund - Mangiapane
Lucic - Ryan - Dube

I don’t see how that is a terrible forward group in comparison to what we ran in the playoffs; still has plenty of snarl, size and grit through out, lots of defensive awareness and a lot of offensive threats up and down.
