Perfection is needed for the 90-degree angle. This disk is used as a clamp protecting paper labels on vinyl records during washing in a special machine. It screws on top of the rotating threaded spindle in the centre of the washing platter. If the thread is even a hair off 90-degrees, the clamp will screw in a bit crookedly and will leave a gap for the washing liquid to get under it and damage the label.
