I’m not so sure Talbot’s going to get an increase in pay. There’s going to be a lot of goalies on the market this year and they’re not all going to have a chair when the music stops. Given Talbot’s age and recent track record, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to give him more than 2 years at 2.75. A number of goalies are going to get squeezed.

I do think Murray is a good longer term option for the Flames though.
