Gio has a full NTC until the day free agency starts (Nov 1 IIRC?) and then it's a partial NTC where he list 19 teams he CAN be traded to. I seriously doubt he'd waive for a bottom feeder like Detroit and finish his final two seasons on a probable non playoff team.
