Monahan would give them one of, if not the best 2nd line C to play behind Eichel and Gio would be a great mentor for Dahlin. They get rid of Risto since it seems they want him out and they get the player they hope Cozens could be. The 8thOA is the cost of upgrade lol.
The Sabres have a ton of cap space and this adds 2 established pieces that make the Sabres more relevant. This would signal a rebuild though.
