Players are paid their salary daily over the course of the regular season, not in the playoffs. They aren't losing any money.
Edit: to clarify. Players typically receive 13 payments between October and April. But their pay is calculated on a daily basis, which particularly impacts players on two-way contracts with different salaries at the NHL and AHL levels. And that daily pay also dictates how they count against the salary cap, which is a cumulative total of all the money paid out to players on NHL contracts on a team.
But yes, nobody is losing money because of this. Players typically receive "playoff bonuses" from the NHL based on what round of the playoffs they reach, but I don't know what those are this year and, either way, those won't be affected unless there are more cancellations.
