Not in a flat marketplace. That will act as a drag on salaries and make the big $10M ones few and far between. I would be shocked to see Tkachuk get a major bump on what he's currently making. He got paid for potential, and he's not achieved those lofty heights yet. Unless he has a couple of really good years, and does something in the playoffs, he's at his optimum salary right now. If he feels otherwise he can ask for a trade and find out on another team that his "intangibles" aren't worth that much in a salary capped market.
