Talbot was 0.919 save % this season, 0.924 in the playoffs and 0.915 for his career. Rittich was 0.907 this year and 0.908 for his career. All for the total cap hit of $5.5 million.
The Panthers paid $10 million AAV for .900 save % from a guy who's won two Vezina's.
Goalies for the most part are just so inconsistent and unpredictable from year to year. I really don't want to see the Flames pour a pile of cap into the goaltending.
