Lowry's injury is an ankle sprain, no timetable for his return.
This is probably good news, compared to rumours that were flying around between last night and this morning. There was supposedly an MRI done on his arch, and there was speculation that this meant that there was acute plantar fasciitis, which can be anything from a play-through, to a months-long rehab.
The fact that it's an ankle sprain, and not plantar fasciitis takes out a lot of the uncertainty. As ankle sprains go, it didn't look severe... sports therapy people have chimed in that it didn't look to be turned to a really severe angle (like Hayward's for example), and the fact he left the court, and later the arena, under his own strength without crutches or walking boot, is a good sign.
As to the timeline, maybe they genuinely don't know the timeline yet, or maybe this is just gamesmanship, withholding a bit of game-planning info from Boston.
I'm cautiously optimistic right now that at most he'll miss a game or two.
